Napa Christmas Parade!
Saturday, November 29th5:00 pm - 6:00 p.m.
All along 1st Street in Napa
After party @ Copia
First Christian School will be showing its community spirit on Saturday, November 29 as we march in Napa's 46th annual Christmas Parade. Our theme this year is "Jesus, the Sweetest Gift" which plays off the organizers' overall parade theme: Nutcracker Sweets. Come march with us, or cheer us from the sidewalk. And, please join Santa at the after-party at Copia!
Napa Food Bank Drive
The economy is hard hit and its effects are everywhere. Recently, an FCS parent approached the administration saying a Napa Register article reported that the Napa Food Bank was desperately low on food items. God brings glory to Himself by stirring the hearts of his people and FCS had its marching orders.
The Parent-Faculty Committee quickly organized a Food Drive and began publicizing it to the students, parents and staff. FCS is so pleased to announce that over 1,000 non-perishable food items have been collected just in the first week of the food drive! Praise God! All students -- preschool through Middle School -- have amazed us all with their desire to serve and meet the needs of people.
The preschool classroom that donates the highest number of canned/nonperishable food will be awarded a special Servanthood Certificate and earn a special healthy-snack party.
The elementary/middle school classroom that donates the highest number of canned/nonperishable food will be awarded the honor of delivering the final shipment of food to the Napa Food Bank.
The Lord continues to work in the hearts and minds of our students, and it is a privilege to watch our young ones learn what it means to give generously.
The food drive is currently underway and will end of Friday, December 5.
Deut 15:10-11 "Give generously to him and do so without a grudging heart; then because of this the LORD your God will bless you in all your work and in everything you put your hand to. 11 There will always be poor people in the land. Therefore I command you to be openhanded toward your brothers and toward the poor and needy in your land."
